B e a u t y O n A B u d g e t : F o u n d a t i o n

F o u n d a t i o n   h a s   a l w a y s  been the most expensive product in my kit with products ranging from YSL, Estee Lauder and Chanel, however since moving Ive had to adjust my foundation routine to accommodate my new living situation.

A few months ago I began to change the type of coverage I wanted from a foundation, in the past I have always wanted a matte full coverage foundation however I recently started to experiment with sheer to light coverage foundations with a dewy finish in order to let my skin breath and appear healthier.

There are two stand out foundations that Ive been using in my daily routine one is the Laura Mercier oil free tinted moisturiser in the shade Nude, while i absolutely love this base it was still a little too pricing for me, so I began to try drug store brands and found the L’Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation. This foundation comes in a convenient compact and is a liquid foundation. The cushion foundation is normally $29.99 for 14.6 grams and I know you’re thinking thats really expensive but if you wait you can pick them up at Chemist Warehouse for $14.99, so half price !I purchased two of these foundations in the shade 03 and 07 and I use a Zoeva foundation brush and just dip into both then blend them on my face. This cushion foundation gives a very dewy finish with a light coverage. I works very well with my other products and leaves my skin looking healthy and fresh.Because this foundation is a dewy finish it can tend to slide off the face and not last as long however when I use my urban decay Chill setting spray it last 7-10 hours while I’m at work.

I would keep an eye out for this foundation when it goes on sale because it is honestly one of the best base products I’ve used over the years.
